The Houston Dash have waived defender Ella Masar, and midfielders Brittany Bock and Jordan Jackson. The waiver wire opens today at 12 pm CT. Teams have until Thursday, October 22 at 12 p.m. CT to claim a player.
Brittany Bock had six appearances in her two seasons with the club. Bock was the first player selected by Houston in the Expansion Draft when they came into the league in 2014. Despite her challenges in getting on the field Bock was very active off the field with the team and in the Houston community.
Midfielder Jordan Jackson was drafted by the Houston Dash their first season with the 28th pick overall. Jackson started out strong for the team but missed two games due to a concussion that season. She played in nine games for the club in 2015 and started in three games.
Ella Masar had already posted to her social media that let fans know that she wouldn't be returning for the 2016 season. Masar came to the club as a forward but converted to a defender for the 2015 season. She played in 19 games for the Dash this past season and started in 18 of them.
