Brooks, is a midfielder who made 12 appearances for the Seattle Reign in 2015. In 2014, she join the Portland Thorns after playing two season for Bayern Munich of the Frauen-Bundesliga. "Amber is a player that I've wanted since I took over the team two years ago," said Dash head coach Randy Waldrum via press release. "Amber was a part of my U-23 USWNT, where she showed versatility by playing anywhere in defense or midfield. She's tenacious, tough, skillful, and a great competitor who will battle until the final whistle. She very much fits into what we are trying to build here in Houston.
"I want to wish Meghan all the best and thank her for her service to the Dash the past two seasons."
Klingenberg started 12 games for the Houston Dash in 2015, but spent most of the season away with the USWNT. With teams only allowed to protect two USWNT players, Klingenberg would have been left unprotected. This trade means the Dash get something for the loss.

However, it doesn't sound like Seattle is Kling's last stop. In a complicated deal that gets Alex Morgan to Orlando, Kling will eventually come to play in Portland according to The Equalizer.
