Will Bruin Forward of the Year (75%)
Bruin was the winner of Forward of the Year by a landslide. A strong May helped him to his eleven goal total for the season. Bruin played in 33 games this season and got the start in 28. He spent a little time on the bench and came out of it a goal scoring machine. The Bruin of 2015 is the Bruin fans have been waiting to see.
What fans had to say:
"Coyle's darling proved his worth this season. The leadership of an excellent former striker seemed to spark Bruin's talents, as seen in his daring runs and great positioning. It is also encouraging to see a player come back to the XI with a vengeance after a well-deserved benching to start the season."
"Bruin, more than any other player for the Dynamo, became invaluable. Almost every game saw him improve and lead the line, always pushing for a goal. Lack of service from a vacuous midfield hurt him, but it is clear that without his play, the Dynamo would have been a less successful team in an already disheartening season."
"Overall much improved over the last few years. One of the best conversion rates in MLS and hold up play was a big help at times. Just needed more service at times. Tireless defensive pressure as well."
Bruin after the initial benching responded in a big way. I think he made big strides towards becoming a more complete Center Forward and whether he is with the Dynamo or not is poised for a big year next year.
Dynamo Theory Staff Vote Will Bruin (75%)
It was another 75% victory for Bruin who showed this season what he is capable of.
"Bruin really grew his game this year in response to an early year benching. His runs off the ball have improved greatly, his strength and ability to pressure defenders has improved, and his passing has gotten better. This wasn't a career year for Bruin, but it is consistent with many of his performances each year in terms of production."
