The Houston Dynamo have announced that they have declined options for seven players. Goalkeeper Michael Lisch, defenders AJ Cochran and Jermaine Taylor, midfielders Luis Garrido, Alexander Lopez and Nathan Sturgis, and forward Chandler Hoffman are all players that the team will be parting ways with.
Jermaine Taylor had been with the club the longest of the seven players let go. Playing for the club since 2011 Taylor had played in 106 games in orange. Luis Garrido suffered a horrific knee injury just a few weeks ago while representing Honduras during International duty. Garrido had joined Houston on loan in July 2014 and had played in 40 games for the club.
The team is far from done making moves this offseason as the MLS Waiver Draft on Dec. 9 and the Re-Entry Draft, with Stage One on Dec. 11 with Stage Two set for Dec. 17. The MLS SuperDraft will take place in January.
