CONCACAF announced on Thursday the four seeded teams that will head up their groups in the historic 2016 Copa America Centenario tournament to be held in the United States during the summer. The United States, as host, are awarded the Group A seed, while Brazil tops Group B, Mexico leads Group C, and Argentina, as the top-ranked team in the tournament, will be the high seed in Group D.

Additionally, the tournament schedule was released and it shows some significant matches to be played at NRG Stadium right here in Houston. While the first match on June 11th will feature as-yet-unnamed Group A teams, the match two days later on June 13th is sure to garner the bigger crowds as Mexico finishes their group stage in Houston. Then, on June 21st, NRG Stadium joins Chicago's Soldier Field in hosting one of the tournament's semifinal matches.

Following Houston's only three matches of the tournament, the third place match will be held in Phoenix, Arizona while MetLife Stadium in New Jersey will host the tourney's Final.

The United States will begin their tournament on June 3rd in Santa Clara, California before moving onto Chicago and Philadelphia during the group stage. Argentina also visits Santa Clara and Chicago, but will wrap up in Seattle on June 14th. Brazil will open at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, then head to Orlando and Foxborough, Massachusetts. Mexico's preceding matches will be played in Phoenix and the Rose Bowl before ending in Houston.

The remaining 12 teams of the tournament will be drawn into groups in "early 2016", thus solidifying the tournament schedule. Details about the date and draw procedure will be released closer to the actual draw.
