This won't be the first time that the two teams have faced off to start a season. Houston beat New England in their 2014 home opener 4-0. Historically, Houston has done well in their home opener winning the last four straight.
Houston finished the 2015 season 11-14-9 and missed the playoffs in the West. While New England went 14-12-8 and made the Eastern Conference playoffs.
While we know who the first team Houston will face is we don't know who the last one will be during the regular season. The full 2016 MLS schedule won't be released until January 7, 2016.
Tickets for the home opener are already available on the team's website. Make sure you don't miss the chance to see all of your favorite players back in orange.
