After kicking of preseason with a 2-0-1 record in the Desert Friendlies the Houston Dynamo have returned home for a week. While fans were only able to stream one game, against the Portland Timbers, the team looked good in that game. Giles Barnes came out of the game seemingly early against the Vancouver Whitecaps which may have been due to of an injury.

Saturday, the team will play the Dynamo Academy's U-18 squad in their annual match-up. FanFest is taking place on Saturday at BBVA Compass stadium from 1-5pm. Next Wednesday they will play the Austin Aztex's before heading East for the Carolina Challenge Cup. Both games will be played at Houston Sports Park and open to the public.

The Carolina Challenge Cup will be the first time that the Dynamo will play against the Charleston Battery since the two teams affiliated a few months ago. It will also be the Battery's first up-close look at the players that may see time in Charleston this season. NYCFC and Orlando City will also be in Charleston for the first time as MLS teams. The Cup has already sold out its first game in record time as the hype surrounding this preseason is substantial. Better yet for fans not in Charleston the games will be streamed giving fans the chance to see how their teams fare.
