Houston Dynamo vs New York City FC Carolina Challege Cup: Prediction, lineup, streaming info

Houston takes on NYCFC in their second game of the Carolina Challenge Cup

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

The Dynamo lost their first game of the Carolina Cup Challenge 1-0 to host Charleston Battery. In their second game of the Cup they are set to face off against New York City F.C. one of the teams joining MLS this season. NYCFC drew in their first Cup game against Orlando City SC, MLS' other expansion team this season.

Houston has played a number of different lineups this preseason and they have lost their last two preseason games. Against the Battery the team had a hard time moving the ball up the field to the forwards and they had too many turnovers. The Jason Kries coached NYCFC looked strong to start the tournament, but not unbeatable. Time of possession will play a big part in this match, but Houston will have to make that possession count.

Prediction:

My heart really wants to go with the Dynamo but they have failed to produce goals the last couple of games.

NYCFC 1-0
