Canada Concedes 1 Goal; Finishes 2nd in 2015 Cyprus Cup

Coming off winning the BaoAn Cup, Canada extended their winning streak by knocking off Scotland, Korea Republic and Italy (as well as Australia during a training game) during the 2015 Cyprus Women's Cup. On Wednesday they faced England in the final match, where England would take and maintain the lead in the rainy second half.

With Christine Sinclair spending much of 2014 in a scoring drought, and Diana Matheson tearing her ACL in the fall, many wondered where Canada's goals would come from in 2015. Enter 17 year old Jessie Fleming. The young star opened the tournament with a goal for Canada, but found her first red card during a very physical second game. Meanwhile, Sinclair tallied her fifth goal of 2015 in six matches.
