Pick the Lineup against FC Dallas

Who's in your XI?

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Last weekend's clash against Sporting Kansas City will go down as one of the craziest matches in recent memory. The game featured the Houston Dynamo going down a goal in the 2nd minute only to end up leading by the half thanks to goals by Giles Barnes and Will Bruin. The Dynamo would then score in the opening minute of the 2nd half only to end up drawing the game 4-4 after a bizarre red card and penalty kick awarded following a Jermaine Taylor handball. That red card has officially been rescinded and Jermaine Taylor can suit up for Friday's game against FC Dallas.

The starting lineup the Houston Dynamo trotted out against Sporting Kansas City was again a curve ball by Owen Coyle as he reinserted Will Bruin to partner with Giles Barnes in a 4-4-2 (or a 4-2-3-1). Oscar Boniek Garcia missed his 2nd straight game with a left knee sprain and once again Alex Lopez slotted into the right midfield position and he played quite well. Interestingly enough, it appears as if Nathan Sturgis has beaten out Luis Garrido for the central midfield pairing with Ricardo Clark (at least in this formation).

Owen Coyle's Starting XI

Fan Selected Starting XI against DC United

The fan selected squad has been Owen Coyle's most consistent lineup with the omission of Boniek Garcia.

The game against Sporting Kansas City represented our Eastern Conference rivalry, but Dynamo fans will get a chance to see their traditional and geographic rival, FC Dallas, this Friday in our first meeting back in the Western Conference.

Friday's match-up provides plenty of questions worth pondering. Does Coyle stick with a 4-4-2 or does he go back to the 4-5-1? Who has earned their starting role? Boniek's status hasn't been updated but they may decide to rest him as Alex Lopez has done a fair job holding the RM spot down. As I mentioned before, Jermaine Taylor will be available for selection and should be a lock to slot next to Raul Rodriguez. Will Bruin played very well in his return to the starting lineup and could be rewarded with another start.

The real question though is who do you want in your starting XI against our renewed rival FC Dallas Frisco? Let us know and feel free to comment below about your selections!
