After blowing a two-goal lead against the Red Stars, the Houston Dash will travel to Portland this weekend to hopefully regain their footing and come home with 3 points. The team currently sits 7th in the standings with a record of 1-2-2.

Houston has scored 7 goals this season, one of which was Carli Lloyd prior to her National Team departure. Jess McDonald, who’s ranked 6th in goals with 3 goals in 5 games, while Kealia Ohai has tallied 2, but the fact remains Houston has yet to find a truly consistent scorer.

The 4th ranked Thorns (2-1-2) are seeking to rebound after loss to Boston, who ended Portland’s unbeaten stream when Kristie Mewis scored a stoppage time goal. Portland rosters both Allie Long and Meleana Shim who rank 3rd and 8th in goals for the 2015 season with 4 and 3 goals, in 5 games respectively. Long also leads the NWSL with the number of shots on goal.
