Norway vs Thailand

Thailand have the worst odds of advancing out of Group B while Norway is fully expected to advance. This is the first World Cup for Thailand who made it to Canada after finishing fifth in the AFC Women's Asian Cup in 2014. Thailand consists of players who play in the Thai league who aren't widely known. Norway on the other hand is filled with known players like Ada Hegerberg and Trine Bjerke Ronning.

Germany vs Ivory Coast

Germany is the number one ranked team in the world and is expected to get out of Group B number one. Like Norway they are filled with star players like Nadine Angerer and Simone Laudehr. Germany has won 22 of 24 games since Euro 2013. Ivory Coast on the other hand finished third in the African Women's Championship and is an unknown entity. However, the team eliminated African champion Equatorial Guinea during qualifying for the finals.
