DaMarcus Beasley has earned his fourth All-Star selection, it was announced Monday by Major League Soccer. The Houston Dynamo defender joins ten other players that have been selected by fans to play Tottenham Hotspur in Colorado on July 29th. Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard were also named to the initial list by way of Commisioner Don Garber's annual two additions to the roster. The remaining nine additions to the roster will be announced on July 18th.

Beasley leads the team in minutes played this season (1675 minutes) and is one of two players (Ricardo Clark being the other) to have played in every match this year. This is Beasley's first All-Star selection since his previous MLS stint in 2003.

Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard, despite not playing any MLS matches thus far, were chosen as Don Garber's Commissioner Selections and will be available to play. Players selected in the Fan XI are not guaranteed starts in the match - that will be up to team coach Pablo Mastroeni and his coaching staff.

Tottenham come to their preseason tour after finishing fifth in the English Premier League this past season. Players highlighting their roster includes keeper Hugo Lloris, USA International DeAndre Yedlin, Emmanuel Adebayor and young breakout Harry Kane.
