The Houston Dynamo have traded Corey Ashe to Orlando City SC. The Dynamo will be getting allocation money and a second round draft pick in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for the defender.

"We'd like to thank Corey for his dedication and commitment to the Houston Dynamo over the years," Dynamo VP/general manager Matt Jordan said via team press release. "We appreciate his professionalism both on and off the field and we wish him well with his new club."

Ashe had played for the Dynamo since 2007 and appeared in 266 games for the club.  Ashe scored four goals and 27 assists for the Dynamo and is a two-time MLS All-Star. He is second on the all-time appearances list for the club. Ashe went from being the go-to starting left back for the team to a backup after the team signed DaMarcus Beasley last season. Since then

At Orlando City he will be reunited with former Houston Dynamo goalkeeper Tally Hall.
