Thursday, Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash players kicked off the Bald Is Beautiful campaign by shaving their heads and pouring beers. Players kicked the event off by having their heads shaved and ending the day pouring one out at the Celebrity Pour where fans had the chance to be served by their favorite players.
In 2007, Craig Waibel helped to start the now annual campaign which is run by Dynamo Charities. Each year players shave their heads to help raise money for the Curing Children's Cancer Fund and B.I.G. Love Cancer Care Services. Haley Carter of the Houston Dash and Raul Rodriguez of the Dynamo were among the players to have their heads shaved this year.
