Thanks to some moves from the Houston Dash front office the team has three picks in the first round of the NWSL draft this year. Picking at 5, 6, and 8, the team is looking to add in youth, speed and hopefully some defense after finishing fifth in the regular season. Last year Houston selected Morgan Brian out of Virginia with the number one overall pick. Houston has made a number of moves this off season and currently has a roster of fifteen players listed on their website but as we know Erin McLeod is expected to sign with FC Rosengard which would take the roster down to fourteen.
This year's draft is taking place at the NSCAA Convention in Baltimore, MD. Things will be getting under way at 9 am CT (more or less). Jonathan Yardley and Houston's own Jen Cooper will be calling the draft.
Not liking how the picks are going? Loving each selection? Talk it out in the comments section.
