The Houston Dynamo will soon have a new look - at least for select matches. Recently leaked and shared by Houston soccer icon and commentator Glenn Davis, it appears the Dynamo are going to be unveiling a black away kit for "select matches" (think early in the year and late in the year).

Obviously inspired by the 2014 Germany World Cup kit with its "V" on the chest, these kits finally answered some fans that wanted to see a bit of black mixed in with their usual orange. Many fans wanted to see some black enter the Dynamo jersey following Houston's hosting of the 2010 MLS All-Star game which featured primary colors of blue, black, and of course orange.

Traditionally, the Dynamo have utilized a combination of mostly white and orange for their away kit which, to me, has always looked quite ordinary. Last year's white away did seem to be above the curve for white kits, but in my mind this black kit embraces what this year will be about: change. The team has been re-tooled in a number of ways and it is fitting that they have a new kit to accompany those changes.

The kits are set to be officially revealed soon, but the reaction has been largely positive so far from the leaks. What do you think of the kit? I know my opinion of it. As Fry would say, "Shut up and take my money". Even if you aren't a fan you have to admit that things could be worse. We could have ended up with whatever Columbus Crew's new kit is.
