Houston has had a so-so preseason to this point. There have been a lot of changes to the roster this off season and preseason has been spent watching those players learn how to play with each other. They are still learning at this point as new players like Agus and David Rocha only just joined the team. Neither side scored in Houston's last match when they played the Colorado Rapids.
The New England Revolution have played two straight draws in the Desert Diamond Cup. In their last match they played Sporting Kansas City to a 1-1 draw. SKC lead the match after a first half goal by Graham Zusi. The Revs would tie the game in the 58th minute thanks to a goal from Teal Bunbury.
