The Houston Dynamo have completed another roster transaction, continuing their theme this offseason. It was a minor one, however: 20-year old midfielder Memo Rodriguez and 22-year old defender Taylor Hunter were waived and signed to the Dynamo's USL affiliate club, the Rio Grande Valley FC Toros.

"We are pleased to announce that Memo and Taylor will be continuing their professional development within the Houston Dynamo system with RGV FC. Both players are highly dedicated individuals that understand what's involved in the process to develop as a professional player," Dynamo VP/general manager Matt Jordan said, per the Dynamo's official website. "This is another important example of how the Houston Dynamo is evolving as a club with vertical integration between our First Team, RGVFC and Academy. Both players will be monitored closely by our First Team staff."

Hunter, primarily played as a full-back, was drafted with the 49th selection of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by Houston out of the University of Denver. He started and played 90 minutes in one regular season match in his rookie year, while also making appearances in two U.S. Open Cup matches.

Rodriguez was signed as the Dynamo's sixth homegrown player in December of 2014, but has yet to make a first-team appearance. He spent most of 2015 on loan in the USL, with the Charleston Battery.
