Beckie, Chapman allocated to the Houston Dash for the 2016 season

The Houston Dash have two Canadian National team players allocated to them for 2016.

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

Monday, the NWSL released the list of Canadian players that would be allocated for the 2016 season. A total of 11 players were allocated for the upcoming season. The Houston Dash will, unsurprisingly, have Janine Beckie and Allysha Chapman as their allocated players from the CanWNT.

Chapman was part of the Dash last season, but was gone for most of 2015 due to the Women's World Cup. Beckie was drafted by the Dash during the 2016 NWSL College Draft.

Absent from the list were two of the Dash's previous allocated players Erin McLeod and Lauren Sesselmann. McLeod, as previously reported, is headed to Sweden while Sesselmann is no longer consider an allocated player and would need to sign as a regular player.
