This is the last day of the 2016 Desert Friendlies. Houston has done well so far in this set of friendlies after tying the Portland Timbers in their first game and beating the San Jose Earthquakes. Cubo Torres got his first goal for the Dynamo in their 1-0 win over the Earthquakes.
The Whitecaps have won both of their preseason matches in Tucson. Vancouver won their first preseason match 2-1 over Seattle. They followed that up with a 3-2 win over the New England Revolution.
The Dynamo will return to Houston after this match and is expected to have a scrimmage against Houston Baptist University on February 13 at Houston Sports Park. They will return to Arizona later in the month to play in the Desert Diamond Cup.
