The NWSL season is almost here so to prepare we gathered all of our Houston Dash writers to ask them about the offseason, the upcoming 2016 season and more. Each day this week we will release a new question or two that we had our staffers answer.
What move did the Dash not make this season that you think they should have?
Meg: I would have liked to see them sign an international proven goal scorer, preferably one not going to the Olympics. Is it too late to get Jodie Taylor (or Casey Stoney) from Arsenal?
Shana: Of course we all wish things like Ella Masar and Erin McLeod were still on the roster, but personally I don't think there is any wrong move that the Dash made during this offseason. There's nothing that I look at and really think, "Wow, they really sat back and lost out on that one." Every offseason move was pivotal to the organization and will be key factors in the success of the team during the 2016 season.
Daniel: Houston added depth at every position this offseason. The club is all in for a deep playoff run and it will be interesting to see what results Houston's offseason acquisitions will have on team chemistry. Ching and Waldrum made a lot of moves this past offseason and the question should be asked, "Did they make too many? Rather than, "What move did the Dash not make that they should have?"
Trista: I think I'm going to answer this in a backward way. The move I think Dash should have made was to keep Tiffany McCarty, The 25-year-old proved to be clutch for the Dash several times during the season in 2015. I was pretty shocked that she was part of the trade with FC Kansas City for a draft pick and international roster spot. I think McCarty was too good and showing too much promise to be allowed to leave for such a trade. I think Houston should have found another way to get that trade without sacrificing McCarty.

Alicia: The Dash made a lot of moves this offseason similar to last offseason. For me it is always concerning when there is that much roster turn over. Last year we heard how great the team was and how improved it was. The team did improve but they didn't make it to the playoffs. Now the team has once again made a lot of moves during the offseason. It's hard to build continuity from season to season when there is that much turn over.
