After giving up a last minute equalizer in their last game the Houston Dynamo were looking for three points on Friday night against the LA Galaxy. Outside of the first minute of the game the Dynamo spent the rest of the match on their heels as the Galaxy dominated the men in orange four goals to one.

In the first minute of the game David Horst headed the ball home for the Houston Dynamo on a short corner to give the men in orange an early lead. They managed to hold it for four minutes before the Galaxy tied things up. Giovani Dos Santos picked up the ball behind the Dynamo defense and easily finished off 1 v 1 chance against Joe Willis. Though it looked like a handball could have been called on DaMarcus Beasley earlier on the play the referee didn't make a call and LA scored.

Cristian Maidana was taken down in the midfield by LA, but once again referee Mark Geiger failed to call the foul against LA. With no call LA took off with the ball towards goal. Willis was able to get his fingers on the cross but he wasn't able to stop the ensuing kick from Baggio Husidic to put LA up 1-2. That lead was extended again by dos Santos 31 minutes in to the game after picking up a ball played into the box from Steven Gerrard. Dos Santos had no trouble finishing to put his team up 1-3.

The Galaxy nearly had four when Mike Magee had a great chance in front of an open net but luckily it went over the net. Then as the first half wound down it was Sebastian Lletget with a close shot but it went just wide of the net.

Any hopes that the Dynamo would turn it around after half time quickly evaporated as LA made it 1-4 just four minutes into the second half. Lletget make it down the right side of the field and passed the ball to Gyasi Zardes at the far post. Zardes finished it easily as the game looked to be out of reach for the Dynamo.

Just 57 minutes into the game Owen Coyle opted to spend all three substitutions in hopes of changing things in the Dynamo's favor. While Cubo Torres did manage a few shots in front of goal little changed. Willis stopped a few shots from the Galaxy and managed to keep the score from getting any worse.

With little to no hope of any additional goals from the Dynamo, Houston fans began leaving the match early. The Dynamo have managed 1 point in the last four games leaving fans frustrated early in 2016.

Next Saturday the Dynamo are on the road against the Columbus Crew.
