Pick the Lineup against the Seattle Sounders

With players returning from injury there are plenty of options for the starting XI. Who do you want to see start?

The Houston Dynamo are hoping to rebound at home following a disappointing 1-0 defeat against the Vancouver Whitecaps. The game was separated by a dubious penalty kick call, but the potent Dynamo offense that had defined the season up to the game was nowhere to be found in Vancouver. Luckily the team is coming off a bye week which has allowed players to return to health and for the squad to focus on the game this weekend against the Seattle Sounders.

All Dynamo players have returned to practice including goalkeeper Tyler Deric, forward Giles Barnes, and newcomer Collen Warner who has been out since the start of the season. This provides Head Coach Owen Coyle with options moving into Sundays match. If Barnes is fit to start he will likely take over his spot as a left winger from Leonel Miranda who has slotted in nicely while Barnes has returned to health. A big question is how the team wants to deal with a Seattle offense that is looking to find its feet which leaves plenty of questions defensively. This season the Dynamo offense has flown high, but the defense has been the subject of criticism. Could we see Agus start over David Horst in central defense? Will Sheanon Williams finally be ready to take over at right back for Jalil Anibaba?

My Projected Lineup

Of course this is just one possibility. David Rocha could step into the DCM role next to Ricardo Clark. Barnes may not be 90 minutes fit and Leonel Miranda could keep his starting job for the time being.

The Sounders, despite being in last place in the Western Conference, are not a team to sleep on. So who do you want to see start against Seattle? Do you make our defensive changes now? Let us know and share your choices in the comments below!
