The Houston Dash were unable to break Washington's four-game unbeaten streak Saturday night, falling in a 1-0 loss at Maureen Hendricks Field at Maryland SoccerPlex.

Joanna Lohman netted the lone goal of the match in the 39th minute. Spirit forward Christine Nairn picked out a wide open Lohman with a pin-point cross from the right flank and Lohman converted inside the box with a header.

Houston entered the match looking to carry momentum from their impressive road victory over FC Kansas City last week, but were in tough against the undefeated Spirit.

Dash goalkeeper Lydia Williams kept the game close in the 73rd minute, denying a streaking Crystal Dunn's left-footed attempt, sprawling to her right to get a leg on the ball. Two minutes later, Williams denied the reigning NWSL MVP again with a one-handed save. The keeper's exceptional night continued as Williams made another fantastic save with five minutes left in the match, punching Estefania Banini rocketing shot just over the bar.

Houston's offense however was unable to continue in the dominant fashion they've exhibited this season and fell stagnant against Washington's superb backline. The Spirit's defense which has been impressive this season to say the least, entered the match with only one goal allowed.

With the victory, Washington's unbeaten streak grows to five games this season.

The Dash will look to rebound against the Orlando Pride in their return to BBVA Compass Stadium, next Friday at 8:30/ET.
