Houston entered the fourth round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup to host San Antonio FC. It was a quiet yet goal heavy game for the Dynamo.
First half was a quiet one save for two Dynamo goals. Mauro Manotas took at long touch to him self after a SAFC defender fell down and slotted to goal. The 30th minute goal gave Houston the 1-0 lead. They extend that lead to 2-0 during stoppage time of the first half. The Dynamo took a short corner and as DaMarcus Beasley crossed the ball it took a deflection to Alex Lima. Alex was alone at the back post as he turned the last play of the half into a goal.
Dynamo resumed scoring in the 60th minute when second half substitute Raul Rodriguez headed in free kick. Minutes later Leonel Miranda would have an easy finish to make it 4-0.
That score would hold until the final whistle. The Dynamo now advance to the fifth round of the Open Cup. They will find out their next opponent on Thursday.
