This year’s BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup will feature not one but two games in the annual fundraiser event. The first will be a game between Houston Dynamo Legends and Univision Deportes Legends. The second will be between the Houston Dynamo and Cruz Azul. All of the proceeds of this year’s game will be going to Hurricane Harvey relief.

The Legends game will kick off at 7 pm CT and feature Dynamo legends like Brad Davis and Paul Dalglish. The Univision legends will have players like Marcelo Balboa and Ivan Zamorano on their squad. The legends will play seven on seven in the lead up to the main game.
The main game will kick off just after 8 pm CT on Thursday night. The Dynamo players are in the middle of a playoff push to round out the 2017 MLS season. Fortunately, they don’t have another league game until October 11. George Malki and Memo Rodriguez are the only two players for sure won’t play in the game according to Corey Roepken.
Wilmer said the only two players who definitely will not play Thursday versus Cruz Azul are George Malki and Memo Rodriguez.

The proceeds from the games will go to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund established by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and Harris County Judge Ed Emmett. The Houston Dynamo and BBVA Compass are hoping to raise $100,000 from the event.
Both matches will be broadcast nationally on the Univision Deportes Network. You can still purchase tickets here.
