Tuesday, the Houston Dynamo announced their roster moves with the end of the 2017 season. The team declined contract options on some mainstays like Boniek Garcia and Ricardo Clark.
They picked up contract options on seven players for the 2018 season while declining options for eleven players. There are five players who had contracts expired at the conclusion of the season. The loans for Juan David Cabezas (Deportivo Cali, Colombia) and FW Alberth Elis (CF Monterrey, Mexico) are set to expire on December 31 and Houston has until then to negotiate a full transfer or extend the loan for each player.
Just because contracts have expired or the Dynamo declined to pick up contract options does not mean we won’t see those players in orange again. The team is still in talks with some of the players looking to work out new deals with them.
