If Lloyd were to depart she would join the growing list of players leaving the NWSL for Europe. There have been a number of players leaving the NWSL to head overseas to play including Alex Morgan and Crystal Dunn. Dunn has joined Chelsea in the FAWSL on an 18-month contract while Morgan is playing for Olympique Lyonnais on a half season contract with an option to extend her time there.
