New coach. New roster. New result.
The Dynamo picked up the first trophy of the 2017 season on Saturday, Houston won the sixth annual Desert Diamond Cup with a 2-0 victory over Colorado Rapids at Kino North Stadium.

The Dynamo finished with a 3-0-1 record in the preseason tournament that fielded 10 MLS teams including New York City FC, New York Red Bulls, Colorado Rapids, Sporting Kansas City, New England Revolution and the Dynamo.
Romell Quioto scored the two goals for the Dynamo in the championship match in the 43rd and 65th minute. Quioto was named the tournament Golden Boot winner and MVP.

The Dynamo will hope to role their success into the MLS regular season which starts on March 4 against the Seattle Sounders.
