The Houston Dash dropped their fourth straight match of the season and ninth straight against the Seattle Reign FC with a 2-0 loss Saturday afternoon at BBVA Compass Stadium.
Houston's loss didn't come without their fair share of chances throughout the match. In the first half, the Dash peppered Hayley Kopmeyer with shots, as Houston attacking trio of Janine Beckie, Kealia Ohai, and Nichelle Prince routinely used their way speed to create overlapping runs and found themselves behind Seattle's backline for quality chances on goal.
Seattle's counter attack produced Reign FC's first goal of the game in the 30th minute. Megan Rapinoe sprinted down the left flank, played a one-two with Katie Johnson. As Rapinoe attempted to play the ball back to the forward at the back post, her pass deflected off Cari Roccaro and past Lydia Williams for an own goal.
