After the Dash started the season off by defeating Chicago 2-0 on April 15th, falling to Seattle 5-1 a week later, and then beating Washington by a goal, there’s really no indication what fans should brace themselves for this weekend. Combined with the questionable-at-best go90 stream, at least fans can (hopefully) rest easy knowing the game will be on Lifetime, which has been mostly flawless so far.
In the season opener, Houston did well to shut down Christen Press and hold the Red Stars scoreless. But after a lackluster game against Seattle, and a decent game against Washington, it remains to be seen which team will show up at Toyota Park Saturday. It also remains to be seen what the lineup looks like and mainly, which goalkeeper gets the start.
Meanwhile, Chicago has lost both games on the road, but had a victory at home over Kansas City. Press hasn’t scored this season, she’s 4th in standings for shots on goal (tied with Kealia Ohai) and, along with Julie Johnson, may create a lot of work for Houston.
