The Dash traveled to Orlando this weekend desperate for a win and after a physical match, Houston gets to leave Florida with what will be only their third win all season bumping their stats to a 3-7-0 record.
The first half was arguably the most physical of the two with plenty of fouls from both lineups which eventually resulted in a yellow card being given to Janine Van Wyk. Late in the first half, Carli Lloyd found the back of the net for her first goal of the season with an assist from Poliana giving the Dash the lead heading in to halftime.
The second half was still pretty physical, but saw less aggression from Orlando. Midway through the second half, Poliana came through again with an assist from midfield where she found Rachel Daly open for a shot that would put Houston up 2-0 in the 62nd minute. This goal marks the second for Daly on the season.

While this is great momentum for the struggling team, the Dash definitely need to focus on what’s next as they head back to Houston to host the Boston Breakers in a mid-week game on June 28 at 8:00 pm in BBVA Compass Stadium.
