Houston Dynamo vs Seattle Sounders Preview: Houston look to get first road win of the season in Seattle

Houston head to the PNW.

After a midweek game at home, the Houston Dynamo are back on the road. This time they are headed to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Seattle Sounders. Houston are coming off of a midweek 5-1 victory over Real Salt Lake. The Dynamo had an easy go at home as they routed the 10th place Western Conference team. The win put them at the top of the Western Conference for the first time in a long time.

Houston and Seattle played each other on Opening Day with Houston getting a 2-1 win. But it won’t be easy to walk away with points on Sunday night for the Dynamo as they take on the 8th place Sounders. Houston has struggled on the road this season and they have struggled winning in Seattle. The team had failed to capture any points on the road this season until last weekend’s 0-0 draw against FC Dallas. While Seattle is coming off a midweek 3-0 road loss to the Columbus Crew.

Both teams will be missing players thanks to international call-ups. Seattle will be without forwards Clint Dempsey and Jordan Morris while Houston will be without defender DaMarcus Beasley. Luckily for Houston they won’t be losing Alberth Elis, Romell Quioto or Boniek Garcia until after this game for duty with Honduras. Seattle will also be depleted by a growing injury list that includes former Dynamo Will Bruin who has a dislocated elbow.

Things kickoff at Century Link field at 9 pm CT Sunday night.
