A win against Orlando, a draw with Boston. What’s next for the Dash when they travel to FC Kansas City?

Dash set to travel to Kansas City this weekend.

Trask Smith

A 2 goal win over Orlando.

A scoreless draw against Boston.

A 3-7-0 record for 2017.

And no Ohai.

What Dash fans can expect Saturday when the team takes on Kansas City is anyone’s guess. The team seems to be perpetually stuck in a state of “one step forward, 4 steps back.” They pulled off a win against an Orlando team that featured a back-up keeper in goal, but then failed to do much of anything against last-place Boston.

Sitting in 7th place in the standings, Kansas will also be looking for a win after a 3-0 loss against Portland Wednesday night. The key to victory against Houston could come in the form of Sydney Leroux, who’s 5th in the league for shots (28), and Nicole Barnhart, 5th in the league for number of saves. (Or it could come from Houston coaches failing to make subs until the 80ish minute, while the opposing team subs in players with fresh legs who can run circles around tired Dash players.)
