Houston's unbeaten streak continues.

Nichelle Prince provided the Dash with the deciding goal, as the Houston Dash defeated the Boston Breakers 1-0 at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston.

The victory marked Houston's sixth straight unbeaten match and Prince's third goal of the season. Prince netted the goal in the 23rd minute, receiving a through ball from Andressa and slotted her 1v1 finish into the far corner and past a diving Abby Smith.

Breakers forward Adrianna Leon utilized her speed to be at the forefront of Boston's attacking chances. In the 12th minute, Leon placed a strike off the crossbar that looked to be a goal but ultimately failed to cross the goal line.

The Breakers almost equalized in the 27th minute. Leon brought the ball inside the box, Rosie White played a low ball across the face of goal but Katie Stengel couldn’t get on the end of it and place a finish into the back of the open net.

Carli Lloyd nearly added to Houston's lead in the 73rd minute, as she rocketed a bending strike from distance and forced Smith to make a crucial leaping save.

Both keepers played extremely well and made key stops to keep their respective side in the match. Houston, however, outshot the Breakers with 11 shots on target to Boston's four.

With the victory, Houston’s record improves to 6-7-2 and the club moves up to sixth place in the league table. The Dash will return to action on the road on August 5th to face Portland Thorns FC at Providence Park in Portland. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 pm CT.
