This Wednesday the Houston Dynamo will host the LA Galaxy and look to get back to their winning ways. Houston are currently in the middle of their three games in seven days run.
Last Saturday they drew 1-1 against New York City FC. Vicente Sánchez helped to set up the lone goal scored by Mauro Manotas. Sánchez started the game for the Dynamo and played a huge role in the Dynamo’s chances in front of goal. The Houston Dynamo haven’t had a win since their victory over the San Jose Earthquakes on August 13. Since then the Dynamo have three losses and two draws.
The LA Galaxy have lost seven of their last nine games and are coming off a 2-1 loss to Sporting Kansas City. Romain Alessandrini was the lone goal scorer for the Galaxy in the loss. Alessandrini has been the top goal scorer for the team this season and currently has ten goals in 2017.
Earlier this season Houston occupied the number one spot in the Western Conference. Since that time they have slid down the standings to seventh place just outside of the playoffs. The Dynamo have struggled to get three points since their win over San Jose, however, they have been able to keep their playoff hopes alive. LA is currently sitting in 10th place in the Western Conference standings with no hopes of making the playoffs.
The two squads met each other at StubHub Center back in June. Each side scored two goals in the match up. Houston led for much of the game, but had to settle for a tie after Romain Alessandrini scored a controversial goal in the 95th minute.
Houston return home to BBVA Compass Stadium after playing their last two on the road and hopefully return to their winning ways.
