Houston Dash draft five players in 2018 NWSL College Draft

Forward Haley Hanson was selected by the Houston Dash with the seventh overall pick of the college draft.

The Houston Dash had quite the day at the 2018 NWSL College Draft. After a major trade with Chicago the team had five draft picks in the four rounds of the draft.

The first pick for the Dash was the overall number seven pick and the Dash selected Haley Hanson from Nebraska. The Houston Dash selected Kimberly Keever from the University of Washington with the twelfth pick of the draft. In the third round, the team selected Veronica Latsko out of the University of Virginia. With the final pick of the third round the Houston Dash selected Abby Elinsky of University of North Carolina. In the fourth round the Dash selected goalkeeper Sarah Shimer from the University of Washington. All four of the teams first selections were forwards though Hanson is listed as a forward/midfielder/defender.
