Houston Dynamo announce roster moves

The Dynamo have picked up options on 10 players bringing the roster to 20.

On Tuesday, the Houston Dynamo announced their roster moves now that the 2018 season had concluded. After the latest round of moves the team has 20 players under contract.

The team picked up options on 10 players: MF Eric Bird, MF Juan David Cabezas, DF A.J. DeLaGarza, MF Boniek García, DF Kevin Garcia, DF Adam Lundkvist, GK Michael Nelson, FW Romell Quioto, MF Memo Rodriguez and GK Joe Willis.

The club declined contract options on six players: DF Conor Donovan, DF Leonardo, DF Adolfo Machado, DF Dylan Remick, DF Jared Watts and FW Mac Steeves. Contracts for MF Arturo Alvarez, DF DaMarcus Beasley, DF Philippe Senderos and DF Andrew Wenger have all expired. While the loan with Querétaro FC for MF Luis Gil is set to expire on December 31.

While the team declined options for six players they still have the ability to renegotiate contracts with those players.

In addition to the players that the team picked up contracts on the team has goal keepers Tyler Deric and Chris Seitz, defenders Alejandro Fuenmayor and Erik McCue, midfielders Eric Alexander, Tomás Martínez and Darwin Cerén, forwards Mauro Manotas, Alberth Elis and Ronaldo Peña all on their roster.
