Dynamo legend Ricardo Clark has signed with Columbus Crew SC

MLS: Houston Dynamo at D.C. United Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

It appears that Houston Dynamo legend Ricardo Clark will be stepping away from his longest tenured club for a second time. This time he’s signing with Columbus Crew SC as a free agent.

Following the trade for Darwin Ceren along with Juan David Cabezas and Eric Alexander on the roster, Ricardo Clark’s spot on the roster was in jeopardy. Couple the depth with Clark’s higher salary demands and it always seemed like Clark was destined to sign elsewhere.

While it’s unfortunate to see Clark go, and he definitely has some left in the tank to continue his career, it’s good to know that he’s continuing to play. Clark has been one of the most consistent players to don Dynamo orange and already has a monument to his career here in the form of one of the pillars around BBVA Compass Stadium. What are your thoughts on Clark singing on with Crew SC and what are some of your favorite Rico moments?
