Houston Dash announce latest roster moves

Four players have been cut while the national team players have joined the team in Portland.

In the midst of the Christen Press drama on Saturday the Houston Dash announced the latest roster moves and player arrivals.

Houston has released two draft picks from the 2018 NWSL College Draft, Abby Elinsky and Sarah Shimer, as well as non-roster invitees Sonest Furtado and Heather Kaleiohi. Also departing the Dash is Cami Privett who has retired from professional soccer.

The team announced that seven national team players had reported to Portland for the upcoming preseason tournament. Thembi Kgatlana (South Africa), Linda Motlhalo (South Africa) and Janine Van Wyk (South Africa), Lindsay Agnew (Canada), Nichelle Prince (Canada), and Jane Campbell (USA), Bianca Henninger (Mexico), and Rachel Daly (England) have all joined the Dash in Portland.

Houston will played in the Thorns Spring Invitational at 1:30 p.m. CDT on Sunday against the U-23 U.S. Women’s National Team. The Dash kick off the 2018 season on March 25 against the Chicago Red Stars.
