Jane Campbell was nearly perfect but her strong performance wasn’t enough as the Houston Dash were unable to score for a third-straight match.

Chioma Ubogagu scored the lone goal to lead the Orlando Pride to a 1-0 victory over the Dash at Orlando City Stadium on Sunday night.

In the 65th minute, Ubogagu capitalized on a set piece to score for Orlando. Ubogagu found herself on the receiving end of Christine Nairn’s free kick and headed the ball towards the far post and into the back of the net.

Kealia Ohai made her 2018 debut, subbing in for Savannah Jordan in the 59th minute. Wearing the captain’s armband Ohai looked sharp, made a few great runs and combined with Linda Motlaho atop Houston’s attack. Ohai was unable to attempt a shot on goal.

In the 21st minute, Motlaho provided Houston with their best chance of the night. The rookie fired a shot from 30 yards out past a diving Ashlyn Harris and wide of the far post.

Orlando dominated in possession in the second half and their continuous attack prevented the Dash from creating quality chances.

A minute prior to Ubogagu’s goal, Morgan made a great run using her speed to get behind Claire Falknor and earn a 1v1 chance against Campbell. Morgan launched her left-footed over the frame.

In the 82nd minute, Houston was able to clear away Dani Weatherholt initial shot and Ali Krieger followed up on the rebound with a strike of her own. Krieger aimed her strike towards the bottom corner and Campbell made a terrific diving stop to keep the game close.

The Dash made a late bid for an equalizer earning a corner in stoppage time but were unable to find the back of the net. With the loss, Houston’s record falls to 0-2-2.

Houston returns home to BBVA Compass Stadium for the NWSL on Lifetime Game of the Week against the North Carolina Courage on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 pm CT.
