Alberth Elis named to 2018 MLS All-Star game

Dynamo forward named an All-Star.

The Houston Dynamo’s Alberth Elis has been named to the 2018 MLS All-Star Game. The game will be played on August 1 at 6:30 pm CT at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. This year the All-Stars will face Juventus, the reigning Serie A champions.

The forward has had a stellar year for the Dynamo scoring eight goals and five assists which puts him in seventh place in the Golden Boot race. He leads the league for shots on goal with 31 so far this season. Elis has been named to the MLS Team of the Week four times in 2018. In 2017, he scored 10 goals and four assists in his first season with the Dynamo.

Elis was one of 14 players selected by Atlanta head coach Gerardo “Tata” Martino who will be coaching this year’s squad. This is the first time that Elis has been named to the All-Star game.
