Houston Soccer
The world of Houston soccer has been in a whirlwind since the arrival of new head coach Tab Ramos. The legendary National Team Layer and U-20 coach has caused quite a stir and for all the right reasons. Excitement in Houston has never been higher.
Houston Dynamo
New head coach Tab Ramos introduction to Houston came alongside that two more giantss of American soccer would join him. Omid Namazi and Pablo Maestroeni will enure Houston summers to bring a winner once more tow Houston. neither need an introduction. Suffice it so say that their reputation precedes them.
Darwin Quintero
Next rumors began to swirl about a big move coming and it did on November 13th. The Houston Dynamo acquired Darwin Quintero from Minnesota United for forward Marlon Hairston and cash. Again Houston received a goal scorer whose reputation precedes himneeds no introduction. How excited are you to see Mauro Manotas, Darwin Quintero and Christain Ramirez on the pitch in a variety of combinations.
Why is this move so big for Houston? Quintero now allows the skills of Alberth Elis to be exploited even more on the wing or dare I say it. Ok I will. The door opens for the possibilty of moving Elis for another key piece.
Houston Dash
Haley Hanson. How excited are you about her new contract? Me , not so much. She is a nce piece of the pie but I don’t know that we couldn’t do better. What excites me more then her new deal is the number of Houston Dash players that in Australia competing during the NWSL off season. The fact that playing nearly year round can only bode well for the continued growth of Dash organization. Each year the level of anticipation grows that this is the year for the first playoff team in the organization’s history. And who knows, maybe it will be.
What should be the next move of the Houston Dash? Do they need a big splash signing? Do they just need more time together? What would you like to see happemn? Send me your thoughts and ideas in th comment box or follow me and send them to @sportsguy409 on twitter.
