The Houston Dynamo’s season ended back in early October on a high note. The men in orange were able to overcome an early deficit and send of the legend Demarcus Beasley on a high note, winning the match, 4-2. Their opponent: The Los Angeles Galaxy, MLS’ most storied franchise.

The Dynamo have played the Galaxy 30 times in their history, more than any other team not named FC Dallas, and are 12-11-7 in those 30 matches. The rubber match in October gave Houston their first lead in the series, but LA will have their opportunity to even the series sooner rather than later.

The MLS will have an eight game opening day on February 29th, and the Dynamo-Galaxy match will be the third game of the entire MLS season.

Both teams will look vastly different next year as star Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and legendary Dynamo defender Demarcus Beasley are both no longer with the team as well as other pieces. Both teams will look to begin new eras and will hope to begin these eras with a win.
