The Houston Dynamo have struggled to score at time this season. Though having stars such as Mauro Manotas and Alberth Elis, there have been moments where the team has gone a full 90 without a single goal. When those two aren’t dressed, the offensive chances diminish even more. Dynamo GM hopes that his newest acquisition helps to improve that.
Official: We have acquired Christian Ramírez from LAFC

Welcome to Houston, @Chris_Ramirez17 #ForeverOrangehttps://t.co/726UpIPSJ9
Christian Ramirez has spent the last year a season a member of LAFC after spending the previous five with Minnesota United FC. Ramirez has scored two goals on the season in a mostly reserve role while scoring 27 goals total in his MLS career the past three seasons.
Ramirez also has some US national team experience as he wasn’t called up for the first time in 2018 and has made two appearances, scoring a goal.
With today being the last day of the transfer window, Matt Jordan has pulled off a strong deal that should help the club. Currently there’s does not seem to be any Dynamo players on their way out after some speculation that Mauro Manotas was headed to Cruz Azul. Ramirez’s prescience will vastly improve the forward depth the Dynamo have and help the club’s playoff push as we inch toward the end of the season.
