Matt Jordan sure knows how to bring excitement to the Houston Dynamo fanbase on the last day of the summer transfer window. After a full month of rumors and speculation, Jordan came out of left field with the last day trade for forward Christian Ramirez, however the wily GM wasn’t finished there.
.@HoustonDynamo continue making moves. Club has acquired Danish MF Nikolaj “Niko” Hansen from @ColumbusCrewSC in exchange for Targeted Allocation Money. Deal should be announced soon as well.

Nikolaj “Niko” Hansen has been a fan-favorite for Columbus Crew SC appearing in 45 MLS matches in the past three years, scoring four goals. Hansen has Danish roots though he’s been in the US since high school and played college soccer at the University of New Mexico.
This will once again be a move for depth as Niko Hansen has primarily been a bench midfielder for the Crew. This move could also give head coach Wilmer Cabrera more lineup options as this gives him more midfielders to play with.
The primary question regarding Hansen will be how long he stays in Houston. His contract expires at the end of the year, so it will be interesting to see whether Jordan can reach a deal with the 24-year-old or if Hansen moves on elsewhere. Either way, there’s no doubt Matt Jordan is doing what he feels is necessary.
