Major League Soccer is suspending the season, effective immediately, for 30 days. According to the league release, the league and clubs will communicate plans for the continuation of the 2020 season and update the status of the league events at the appropriate time.

MLS is suspending its season immediately until further notice due to coronavirus, a source with knowledge of the situation tells Sports Illustrated.

In the next 30 days the Dynamo will have the following games suspended:
- March 14 vs Seattle
- March 21 at Colorado
- April 4 vs Portland
