Welcome to another edition of the Breakfast Links. Hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend and, stay safe out there!

Houston

Darwin Quintero is coming back and if you look at his numbers, you should be very excited to hear that news of you are a Dynamo fan. The Colombian can produce right up there with the best of the best in Major League Soccer.

Jaime Lozano? The Dynamo still don’t have a coach yet but there is one name out there that keeps getting brought up. So, who is this guy?

MLS

Canadian international Alistair Johnson is reportedly heading back to Canada with CF Montreal acquiring the fullback from Nashville SC for $1 million in allocation money.

Houston was quiet in Stage 2 of the Re-Entry draft but there were some moves made around the league. Three former DPs got selected on Thursday with Bryan Acosta going from FC Dallas to Colorado Rapids, Robert Beric moving from Chicago Fire FC to Sporting Kansas City, and Jan Gregus leaving Minnesota United for the San Jose Earthquakes.

Around the World

Alberth Elis (remember him?) can’t stop scoring in France. La Pantera scored twice for Bordeaux on Wednesday, bringing his total to 7 on the season. Unfortunately for the Honduran, his side lost to Lille 3-2 with the match winner coming from Canadian Jonathan David.

Jonathan Dos Santos is headed home to Mexico. The Mexican international had been with the LA Galaxy since 2017, and some Dynamo fans even hoped he would be on his way to Houston, but Dos Santos has signed with Club America in LigaMX.
