Dynamo open 2021 season at home against the San Jose Earthquakes

The Houston Dynamo will open their 2021 season at BBVA Stadium on Friday, April 16, at 7 PM, the team announced today.

The remainder of the schedule for the 2021 season will be released at a later date but we now know when the season starts and that the Dynamo will be at home again for the first game. The last time the Dynamo opened a season on the road was the 2012 season, against Chivas USA. Houston did not play San Jose during the shortened 2020 season. This will be the first meeting between San Jose and the club that previously called San Jose home since 2019.

The Dynamo will also play in Portland for the Timbers’ home opener on April 24.
